Finest Summer (James Gonzalez) is a Victoria, BC artist who combines his love for synth vibes, upbeat tempo and the Filipino culture into his music. He plays fun, high energy shows and encourages all ages to sing, dance and rejoice by spreading the message that life is so good. He sings in both English and his native tongue Tagalog (Filipino). Born in Manila, Philippines and immigrated to Canada in 2014.

 

He can be found at local events and as a performer, session player and ambassador at the Haus Of Owl. Internationally, Finest Summer has toured in Canada, USA and the Philippines. 

 

Finest Summer is a volunteer with the Filipino-Canadian arts community. As a City of Victoria’s 2024 Music Strategy Grant recipient, he is a facilitator for the youth group called “Mailbox”.
